| Additional Info. | Job Description: The task is to expand and develop FDTD codes for simulating the propagation of ultrasonic waves in a 3D polycrystal. The codes are to be adapted for execution on a GPU computing platform. These codes would have to be tested against appropriate benchmark problems. Exposure to MATLAB and a working knowledge of FDTD schemes for simulating elastic wave propagation are highly desirable. Familiarity with ABAQUS/ANSYS for elastic wave propagation studies would be useful. Dedicated computing resources are available under the project.
